MEN'S SINGLES EVENT
The 2019 Men's Singles Champion is Sapan Babel - defeating Danilo Vujovic in a final shading nearly 3 hours 4-6 / 7-6 / 6-3.
Congratulations Sapan - and too Danilo for making such an enticing Final for all watching !
THE TURNER CUP LADIES' SINGLES EVENT
This years Ladies' final saw once more Carol Hollingshead triumphant - this time in 3 sets defeating Elly Flemington
5-7 / 6-3 / 7-5 - again many congratulations to both !

MEN'S DOUBLES EVENT
This year's Men's Doubles winning pair are Hari Rai & Shashank Sharma - defeating Chris Mothersdale & Gary Sills 6-3 / 6-4 - two fast paced sets seeing Shashank retain the The Smith Trophy - this time with partner Hari !
THE ROSE BOWL LADIES' DOUBLES EVENT
A fine Ladies' Doubles Final seeing Carol & Vivienne defeat Nicola & Sarah - despite a hard fought second set Carol & Vivienne finally succeeded 6-0 / 6-4. Well done ladies'.
SILVER JUBILEE TROPHY MIXED DOUBLES EVENT
Yet another closely contested final which could have fallen either way, saw Chris & Ellie defeat the 2018 holders Gary & Viv, 2-6 / 6-3 / 6-4. Three very tight sets which live in the memory - not least because of the floodlit finish to this years Finals Day !!

It's not all about the weather... but the sun burst through moments before the scheduled start to this years Finals Day providing the players and spectators a clear sunny afternoon, which once more delivered great tennis on Wishel's courts.

Danilo defeated Sapan Babel in a closely fought match 7-5 / 6-4 which kept everyone engaged with some terrific moments from both players.

Katarina Vujovic and Carol played-out this years final, with Carol finally coming through 6-2 / 6-3 in a very entertaining Ladies' Final.
THE SMITH TROPHY MEN'S DOUBLES EVENT
The Men's Doubles this year saw Sapan Babel+Shashank Sharma defeat Steve Bonsor+Geoff Pugh 6-1 / 7-5.
Shashank went one step further from last year in collecting The Smith Trophy for his first time.
WISHEL SILVER JUBILEE TROPHY
MIXED DOUBLES EVENT
Another closely contested final saw Vivienne Quest+Gary Sills defeat Carol Hollingshead+Chris Mothersdale 6-2 / 7-5.
The winning point brought quite an ovation form the watching members & families who witnessed a thoroughly entertaining Mixed Finals.

2017 TOURNAMENT
Another occasion when Wishel's courts were blessed with fine weather for the action-packed 6 hours that saw once more some thrilling finals that the sun-blessed crowd enjoyed !
MEN'S SINGLES
Jaideep Bhanot completed a third successive Men's Singles win, defeating Ray Dhirani 4-6/6-1/6-1 in a thoroughly entertaining final.
Many congratulations to Jaideep, on another impressive performance to retain his title !
LADIES' SINGLES
Elanor Flemington on her way to nudging past Sarah Freeman, in two sets 6-3/6-2.
LADIES' DOUBLES
This years Ladies' doubles was contested by Nicola Sills+Sarah Freeman against Katarina Vujovic+Mary McGrane.
Many congratulations to Nicola & Sarah on their fine two set victory 6-4/7-5.
MEN'S DOUBLES
This years Men's Doubles was another keenly contested affair, with Jaideep Bhanot+Rintu Boro overcoming Ray Dhirani+Shashank Sharma.

MIXED DOUBLES
This year's Mixed Doubles Final was played over three sets, with Chris Mothersdale+Judith Childs playing Elanor Flemington+Sapan Babel.
Congratulations go to Elanor & Sapan coming from behind to finally win 2-6/6-3/6-2.
MEN'S PLATE
Ed Whorwood saw off the challenge of Geoff Pugh for this years Men's Plate 6-1/7-6.

2016 SUMMER TOURNAMENT
This year's summer tournament was concluded on Sunday 25 September, and ran for over six hours such was the tightly fought nature of the finals !

LADIES' SINGLES
This years ladies' singles was run on a round-robin basis with Elanor Flemington & Ellie Quest competing in the final. Ellie Quest finished as Wishel Ladies' Singles 2016 Champion winning through 6-1/6-0.
LADIES DOUBLES
Our Ladies's double finalist's, with Vivienne, Jane, Katarina & Judy, with Katarina & Judy winning through 6-2/6-4.
MEN'S DOUBLES
This years men's doubles final was highly entertaining with really top quality tennis from all four - seen above Jaideep Bhanot, Sapan Babel, Shashank Sharma and Danilo Vujovic.
Eventually Jaideep & Sapan came through 3-6/7-6/6-2.
MIXED DOUBLES
Another 3 set, highly competitive match involving (pictured above) Gary & Nicola Sills, Ellie Quest and Danilo Vujovic went back & forth, seeing Gary & Nicola succeeding 6-4/1-6/6-2 to become Wishel's Mixed Doubles Champions 2016.
2016 JUNIOR TOURNAMENT
Played out on a wonderfully sunny morning, Wishel's juniors competed in the company of their organisors Rita, Katarina, Chris and Doreen - seeing finally Lazar Vujovic coming through as Junior Champion 2016.

Jana Klemova and Molly White played in a highly competitive Ladies Finals, with Jana finally securing her win 6-3/3-6/6-2 to become Ladies Single Champion for 2015 !
LADIES DOUBLES
Another 3-set final - this time the Ladies Doubles was a thoroughly enjoyable match, with Judy Childs & Vivienne Quest overcoming Jana Klemova & her partner Doreen Williams 6-4/6-7/6-1.
